Crew Commander on NASA/ESA/CSA Mars Analogue Astronauts Expedition, Mars Desert Research Station: I was the lead on a highly qualified group of seven scientists, engineers, and astronauts-in-training in a two-week astronauts-on-Mars simulation study. Subjected to psychological, nutritional, and protocol studies. Coordinated two dozen technical projects. Significant PR: TV, radio, magazines, newspapers, public lectures and outreach.
