Working at the ground station at Fucino, Italy on the deployment and integration of all relevant ground systems - SCCF, KMF, CSIM for GCS - for Galileo IOV & FOC. Working with the KMF provided new experiences in understanding the security element of S/C testing.
Based at the AIT department in Portsmouth. Testing satellite payloads as well as providing departmental software support. A range of skills used and learned. Currently working on Galileo providing them with support for the software test and validation campaigns. Excellent visibility on an Earth Observation, Navigation and Science (ENS) project.Extensive Linux experience gained as well as hands-on experience with the payload has meant full day-to-day problem solving abilities utilised fully.Travelling to suppliers and customers sites across Europe for validation and acceptance testing of equipment, interface checks and mid-level meetings, this has also been a highlight of the job.Later followed the Payload to Rome, Italy for final integration and testing with the Platform developed and integrated by Thales Alenia Space providing resident on-site testing support for 2 years (May 2010 - June 2012).
Working in Toulouse, South of France as a Cost Engineer within the Proposals department. Learning how to integrate within a new culture as well as a different slant to Engineering.
