Strong technical skills in HVAC (Heating, ventilation, air conditioning) and cooling installations; Experience in work preparation as well as in designing technical solutions and writing specifications in English; Knowledge of the local site national mechanical norms and regulations in force is mandatory; Extensive knowledge of air-conditioning systems and other ventilation systems. Excellent verbal and written communications in English; Knowledge of Windows , Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, Sharepoint/Teamsite

Specific Tasks

  • Review and report on main deviation related to mechanical engineering between HQ project SoW and proposed project design provided by architects.
  • Analysis of the mechanical engineering aspects of the proposed project design particularly for what concerns:
a. The heating, ventilation and cooling installation;

b. Energy performance;

c. Environmental and wellness certification;

d. Consistency of proposed certification targets.
  • Definition and process review for the development of building information modelling (BIM) within the project and ensuring that it both complies with ESA Estates and Facilities Management Department standards and informs on ongoing development.
  • Reviewing the operability and maintainability approach of the appointed ESA HQ turnkey promoter (under procurement process) and reporting on main issues.
  • Elaboration of the outsourced maintenance plan for the mechanical elements of the new building.
  • Definition and drafting the transition to operations of the mechanical components of the new building, with particular reference to warranty management and other manufacturers recommendations.
  • Review and report on the transfer of space technology into the new building, in particular for mechanical systems.
  • Creating and keeping relevant documentation accurate and up to date (e.g. procedures, configurations etc.)
