Junior Pre-Sales Engineer, APAC

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with sales teams, partners and customers to define, shape and understand technical requirements
  • Provide excellent technical support on customer demonstrations, trials and opportunities, assisting technical teams to test, troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Provide support in written information for bids, RFP and tender proposals
  • Develop clear presentations on integrated solutions, articulating benefits to customers
  • Provide in-depth technical workshops to partners and end users, including live demonstrations and hands-on training sessions
  • Act as technical point of contact to support the sales channel with customer demonstrations, technical training and post-sales support

 Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Familiarity with Inmarsat products and services (additional training will be provided)
  • Ability to articulate technical capability in to a value proposition
  • Present and demonstrate the USP’s of Inmarsat technology to potential customers
  • Desire for pre-sales engineering exposure in the satellite and telecom industry
  • Excellent troubleshooting capability, IP & networking knowledge and practical hands-on experience
  • Some formal documented technical qualification/s
  • High standard of spoken and written English
  • A ‘can-do’ positive attitude to learn and a strong desire to achieve goals whilst working independently and within the team
  • Eligible for the relevant visas to travel throughout Asia-Pacific & UK

 Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of Mobile Satellite, Fixed Satellite or cellular industry
  • Experience with iDirect & VSAT systems
  • Previous experience of working in the government market
  • Second Asian language
